Calculator inputs and shared links
Calculator values and results are processed in your browser. We do not intentionally send form values or results as analytics event parameters. Usage events identify the calculator used, shared, or printed. Analytics page URLs are configured to exclude query strings and fragments.
Share Results copies a link with your entered values in its fragment (the portion after #). That fragment is not sent in ordinary HTTP requests, but anyone with the complete link can read the values and restore them in the calculator. Other applications you paste the link into can also see it. Legacy links that used query parameters may have been recorded in historical server or analytics logs; this update does not erase those records.
Email subscriptions
If you subscribe to our emails, we collect the email address you enter in the signup form. The form and your subscription are provided by Kit, which stores your address and sends the emails on our behalf. We use it only to send the content you signed up for, such as guides and tool updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also contact us to have your address removed. The Kit form is loaded from Kit's servers when the signup box is displayed on a page, so Kit may receive standard connection information such as your IP address and browser type. Calculator values are never sent to Kit.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, page engagement, and calculator use. Google may process device, browser, and usage information and use cookies. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can block analytics through browser privacy controls or extensions.
Log Files
HealthFitTools follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
